Our Story

At the age of 50, life surprised us in the most beautiful way possible—with the arrival of our daughter, Andi. After raising older children and settling into a comfortable rhythm, we thought the baby years were behind us. But Andi’s birth was a joyful curveball that changed everything.

From the moment she was born, we knew that nothing, but the absolute best would ever be good enough for her. Every detail mattered—especially when it came to her comfort, health, and happiness. Late nights holding her, early mornings dressing her, and the endless diaper changes made us realize how important it was for her clothes to be soft, breathable, and easy to move in.

That’s when we discovered bamboo viscose. Not only is it incredibly soft and stretchy—perfect for a baby’s delicate skin and constant growth—but it’s also a sustainable, eco-conscious choice. As we watched Andi grow quickly through sizes, the stretchiness of bamboo rompers made a big difference. She stayed comfy longer, and we felt better knowing we weren’t overconsuming during such a fast-changing stage of life.

So, I started Bamsies—named with love and built around a simple idea: babies deserve the best, and parents deserve peace of mind. Our bamboo viscose rompers are made to grow with your little one, while being kinder to the planet they’ll inherit.

Bamsies is more than a clothing brand. It’s our way of sharing the comfort, care, and joy we found in Andi—with families everywhere.

Antibacterial tendencies
Bamboo plants contain a natural bio-agent sometimes referred to as “bamboo kun.” This helps the plant resist bacteria and pests while growing. Because odor in clothing is usually caused by bacteria breaking down sweat, fabrics that limit bacteria growth tend to smell less over time.
Breathability
Bamboo viscose and bamboo lyocell fabrics are very breathable, which helps moisture evaporate instead of getting trapped in the fabric. Less trapped moisture = less odor buildup.
Moisture wicking

Bamboo fibers absorb and release moisture well, helping keep skin drier compared to many synthetic fabrics.
